The EV9 carries its battery pack under the floor between the axles, on the 800-volt E-GMP architecture Kia publishes for it, and it reads the road through Kia Drive Wise: a forward-facing camera at the top of the windshield and forward radar behind the front fascia, corner radar in the rear bumper for Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance and Rear Cross-Traffic, and ultrasonic sensors in both bumpers for the parking warnings. Cars fitted with the Surround View Monitor add cameras at the front, in the mirror housings and at the tailgate, and the Blind-Spot View Monitor reads off those same mirror-housing cameras. A bumper cover, a mirror cap or a windshield is never only a panel on this car. The Model 3 and the Cybertruck this shop’s own reviewers name need that same high-voltage discipline — which is the competence behind this page, not an EV9 job we are claiming.
