The R1S carries its battery pack under the floor, and it steers by the Rivian Autonomy Platform: eleven cameras and five radar units, the forward radar behind the lower front fascia, the corner radars in the bumpers, cameras in the mirror housings and at the top of the windshield. A bumper cover, a wing or a windshield is never only a panel on this car. The Model 3 and the Cybertruck this shop’s own reviewers name need that same high-voltage discipline — which is the competence behind this page, not an R1S job we are claiming.
